Darwin’s Doubt, Signature in the Cell Will Be Audiobooks; Hear the Prologue to Darwin’s Doubt Now!
It’s official! HarperOne will soon move into production on audiobook versions of Stephen Meyer’s Darwin’s Doubt: The Explosion of Animal Life and the Case for Intelligent Design and Signature in the Cell: DNA and the Evidence for Intelligent Design. Judging by the number of queries we’ve received over the past few years about audio versions of these books, this is bound to make a lot of people happy!
And why not? Portable devices of all shapes and sizes are ubiquitous, as listening to books has become an increasingly popular pastime. Far from dry reads, Dr. Meyer’s books are like mystery novels, page-turners that slowly build anticipation before revealing the best explanation for the information enigma.
Yes, these books are perfect for audiobook listeners, and while we don’t yet have release dates, we do have something to whet your appetite. Our good friend and colleague Andrew McDiarmid, assistant to Stephen Meyer and a media relations specialist at Discovery Institute, has narrated the Prologue to Darwin’s Doubt. Hear it now on a new episode of ID the Future:

He fancied himself a good candidate to voice Meyer’s books, given his radio/podcasting background and close relationship with Meyer, so he pitched this recording to the publisher. While they may opt for another candidate, in the end, we think McDiarmid does an excellent job of it.
It’s about twenty minutes. Grab a coffee, and give it a listen!
