Paul Nelson Will Host Atlanta Premiere of Living Waters: Intelligent Design in the Oceans of the Earth
Save the date and join us on October 5 for the Greater Atlanta premiere of the new documentary Living Waters: Intelligent Design in the Oceans of Earth! The screening will be followed by discussion with one of the film’s featured scientists, Discovery Institute philosopher of biology Paul Nelson. The third installment in the Illustra Media DVD series The Design of Life, Living Waters: Intelligent Design in the Oceans of Earth, explores rivers and oceans to reveal spectacular displays of purpose and design in the animal kingdom. The documentary is a powerful sequel to Illustra’s recent films Flight and Metamorphosis, and is highlighted by stunning photography, innovative computer animation, and cutting-edge research.

Paul A. Nelson is a Fellow of Discovery Institute and Adjunct Professor in the Master of Arts Program in Science & Religion at Biola University. He is a philosopher of biology who has been involved in the intelligent design debate internationally for over two decades. Nelson received his PhD (1998) in the philosophy of biology and evolutionary theory at the University of Chicago. His scholarly articles have appeared in journals such as Biology & Philosophy, Zygon, Rhetoric and Public Affairs, and Touchstone, and book chapters in the anthologies Mere Creation (Intervarsity Press), Signs of Intelligence (Brazos), Intelligent Design Creationism and Its Critics (MIT Press), and Darwin, Design, and Public Education (Michigan State University Press). Dr. Nelson is a co-author of the biology textbook Explore Evolution, and has appeared in several films on intelligent design for Illustra Media.
