Wednesday, July 17, It's the Seattle Theatrical Premiere of Flight: The Genius of Birds! And It's FREE.
If you're anywhere that's remotely convenient to the Seattle area, you really must join Discovery Institute for our theatrical premiere of Flight: The Genius of Birds, the newly released Illustra Media documentary that marks the launch of Illustra’s new documentary series The Design of Life. Each episode explores a different realm of the animal kingdom and the remarkable biological systems that make life on Earth possible.
Frankly, much as we love the film on DVD and Blu-ray, it really kind of demands a large theatrical screen. It's that good.
In the words of the producers,
Birds are both engineering marvels and works of art. We know where engineered objects come from. We know where works of art come from. Why would we attribute a bird to anything other than intelligence or mind?
This visually stunning production clearly makes their case.
Joining us at the premiere, you will get to see Flight on the big screen in the newly renovated William Allen Theater of the world-renowned Museum of Flight. The screening will be followed by Q & A featuring Discovery Institute fellow and philosopher of biology Dr. Paul Nelson, and Biologic Institute senior research scientist Dr. Ann Gauger, who are both featured in the film.
Time: Wednesday, July 17 at 8:00pm (doors open at 7:30pm). Location: William M. Allen Theater at The Museum of Flight. For directions go to The Museum of Flight website.
The event is FREE, but space is limited. Registration is required by Monday, July 15. REGISTER NOW.
If you can’t join us for this event, please take a moment to view the trailer for the documentary or purchase a copy of the DVD at www.flightthegeniusofbirds.com.
