Quote of the Day: James Watson on Science Journal Editors, Republicans

The editors of The Scientist have been mingling with conference-goers at the American Association for Cancer Research convention in Washington, DC, listening in on other people’s conversations. Their mothers forgot to tell them that’s not nice. They heard James Watson, of Watson-Crick-DNA-Nobel Prize renown, remark about his “recent rejections from several journals”:

I hate the editors of these journals more than I hate Republicans.

Watson can always be counted on for the colorful observation. At least this time it was not on the theme of eugenics.
