Eric Metaxas Will Host David Berlinski, June 12, at the University Club in New York: Tickets Available Now!

If William F. Buckley Jr. were a Jewish mathematician and deconstruction artist of Darwinian evolution, he would be David Berlinski. If Woody Allen were a nattily attired (and better looking) Evangelical Christian biographer and humorist, he would be Eric Metaxas.
What could be more entertaining than an evening in New York City with Berlinski and Metaxas? “Oh, it could never happen,” you might say. “Too good to be true.” But you would be wrong, because that’s exactly what’s on offer, the evening of June 12 at the swank University Club on 5th Avenue in midtown Manhattan (corner of 54th Street).
The occasion is another Socrates in the City event, hosted by Mr. Metaxas. Imported directly from Paris, Dr. Berlinski will speak on “The Devil’s Delusion: Atheism and Its Scientific Pretensions” — and, no doubt, about other things as well.
The price is not bad (cough), only $35 if you register by June 7; or $45 if you dawdle and take your time about it. There’s a reception from 6:30 to 6:55 pm, followed promptly at 7 by Dr. Berlinski’s presentation. There are also pricier options if you’d like to enjoy a meet-and-greet with Berlinski and Metaxas over wine and hors d’oeuvres ($75), or dinner ($500).
Gentlemen are required to wear a coat and tie. We told you it was fancy.
For more details and to register, go here. Berlinski will be signing his books immediately after. No, not after you register. After the speech. This is going to be fun. Don’t miss it.
